RETURN TO EARTH: A - Z of Biodiversity, Agroecology, & Regenerative Organic Farming
On October 1st, A to Z program starts in Delhi, for a day of Navdanya’s annual Bhoomi (Earth)- Mul:faith & Earth Science celebra:on, with women farmers from various states across India sharing tradi:onal knowledge & wisdom. On the 3rd to the 16th October, the course will be at Earth University (Bija Vidyapeeth), on the Navdanya Biodiversity Farm in Dehradun, India. Here, a different aspect of soil, seed, ecosystem regenera:on, and health will be taught by experts in their field. On the 16th of October, course agendees get to par:cipate in Navdanya’s annual Vasundhara fes:val on the farm, where music, celebra:on, and women from around India will be preparing varie:es of food from their region to demonstrate how food and plants can heal health. GANDHI AND SWADESHI: On Economic Freedom & Self-Reliance
This year’s learning theme will be Swadeshi a Gandhian concept which means Self Rule, and how Swadeshi can be u:lized for economic freedom of the self, the economies of life, and all living beings. This course will be led by Dr Vandana Shiva, where she will be teaching on the shared rela:onships of women, farming, livelihood, health, and agriculture. Prof. Apoorvanand Jha from the University of Delhi will be leading a par:cipatory session on our expecta:ons from Gandhi, and how we can understand and u:lize this in our own lives for the begerment of the interconnectedness of living with all beings.
